Electricity Tariff Bands

Understanding your tariff band helps you estimate how many units (kWh) you'll get per naira. Tariff bands are set by NERC and vary by supply hours.

Band A 20+ hours/day

₦225.00/kWh Premium supply — customers with consistent 20+ hours of electricity daily. Highest service quality guarantee. ₦5,000 ≈ 22.2 kWh units

Band B 16–20 hours/day

₦63.00/kWh High supply — areas receiving 16 to 20 hours of electricity daily with reliable coverage. ₦5,000 ≈ 79.4 kWh units

Band C 12–16 hours/day

₦50.00/kWh Moderate supply — areas receiving 12 to 16 hours of electricity daily. ₦5,000 ≈ 100.0 kWh units

Band D 8–12 hours/day

₦43.00/kWh Lower supply — areas receiving 8 to 12 hours of electricity daily. ₦5,000 ≈ 116.3 kWh units

Band E 4–8 hours/day

₦40.00/kWh Minimum supply — areas receiving 4 to 8 hours of electricity daily. ₦5,000 ≈ 125.0 kWh units
